Karim Benzema scored a stunning goal on his Al-Ittihad debut to give his new side a 2-1 win in their opening match in the Arab Club Champions Cup.
Benzema scored a truly stunning goal against the Tunisian club as the Saudi Arabian side claimed their first win of the tournament. With the score at 1-1 - and having already provided an assist - Benzema, from a diagonal position outside the box, made a stunning shot and sent the ball into the opposite side of Memmich's goal.
Benzema was one of the first stars to move to Al-Ittihad, who have also signed N'Golo Kante and Jota this summer. The team has won the Arab Club Champions Cup once, in the 2004-05 season, and is hoping to win a second this year.
Al-Ittihad will face their next opponent, Tunisian side CS Sfaxien, on Sunday.
